i dont think keane will want to move, he's club captain and star striker at a very good up and comming football club, he'd be a very good signing at Liverpool but i think they would sooner Berbatov leave than Keane.

If the transfer does go through, Rafa would add to his list of luxury signing that dont really take liverpool to the next level. He had a quality striker that was immense whenever played in Crouch, and yet he rarely played him. What would make us think that Keane is going to start ?

The same goes to Barry. Xabi Alonso and Mascherano are by far better CMs than him with Lucas developing just fine as well. Why pay 18 millions for a decent at best player in a position you've got real quality in ?

Liverpool can spend their millions on useless signings and leave the wide areas ,that are their only downfall, weak. And yet another trophyless season for them.

Keane Demands Liverpool Switch - Report

Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane has reportedly pulled a Gareth Barry by demanding he be transferred to Liverpool…

The Sun claims that Keane has told Spurs boss Juande Ramos he wants to leave, just days after Barry publicly announced his desire to quit Aston Villa in favour of the Reds.

The Merseyside giants have been linked on and off with the Irish hitman over the past few seasons, though never with any great conviction.

However, recent developments and the current circumstances of both clubs suggest the speculation may be more concrete this time around.

Rafa Benitez is keen to increase his attacking options over the summer to accommodate his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, especially given the likely departure of unsettled target-man Peter Crouch.

Hence, the Spaniard has reportedly offered the England international to the Lilywhites in a part player-exchange valued at around ₤20million, which would see Keane make the switch to Anfield.

Ramos will not let half of his star strike-duo leave so easily, however, especially given the other half – Dimitar Berbatov – is also intent on exiting White Hart Lane.

The pair have tallied an impressive 91 goals in their two seasons together, establishing themselves as arguably the Premier League’s most lethal goal-scoring partnership.

And so if one leaves in search of Champions League football, it is quite likely that the other may wish to follow – which would explain Ramos’ reluctance to sell ₤16million flop Darren Bent.

I think him and Torres would be a great partnership.

You best be wrong Sir....

Ill be uber gutted if the Irish captain goes to play for the filthy bin dippers...
Champions League football cant be bad for us (Ireland) tho Jazz, if Benitez is going to line up with him and Torres then I think Keane has one last chance to play for a 'big' club in Europe, he'll never play CL with Spurs, if Berb goes he may want out too!

Keane and Torres could be a very good front line, Gerrard will become a problem again though as he isnt good enough to dominate in the middle, he'll be shipped out to the right hand side again and have a big selfish puss on his face!

Why is everybody saying Keane would be a dud signing for Liverpool? In my humble opinion if SAF wanted to buy Keane I'd do a happy dance.

Keane is just as good, if not better, than Berbatov. He's not just one of the best premiership strikers, he's one of the best strikers period.

When he left Inter Milan, Moratti later proclaimed letting Keane go was one of his biggest mistakes.

Moratti talks a lot of trash but that time he was dead on. I don't know why nbody else seems to rate him as highly as he deserves.

I'd take Keane over a lot of quality strikers. I'd take him over Eto'o because not only is Keane top class, he's good guy.

i rate keane highly
but he is not better than berbatov
berbatov scored the same number of goals that keane scored
but berbatov is too better
berbatov assist more move more and more dangerous
... it would be a great thing to sign keane before looserpool sign him
but if the scousers signed him
our chances of buying berbatov will vanish

Keane is a quality player, he doesnt do it in the green jersey so much but he sure does it in the white!

He's in the top ten Premiership goalscorers of all time and thats no mean feat!

Its arguably his last shot to play for a top team, him and Berbatov have a great partnership, I think he could link up very well with Torres, but he needs to play very regularly, his form dips if he's messed around and with Rafa's reputation of messing around with formations and selections, Liverpool may not be the place for him! I think he could be an excellent signing for Arsenal but he wouldn do that to the Spurs fans!

Top team?
Spurs are going in the right direction under Ramos.
They have shown their intent with some very good signings already.
I really hope he stays at Spurs. He hopped from club to club and seems genuinly
in London. Dont go to the Dippers Robbie....please
