carrick scored 4 goals in the premiership

2 of ronaldo's goals where winners

all 4 of carricks goals where winners

forget skill who would you rather have on your team in terms of scoring???

Officially the Most Outrageous Thread of 2007.......and just in time aswell.

carly may have an opposition for funniest post of the year in the awards.......;)

Mate I didn't even think it was possible to compare the two.

Are you saying that you would rather Carrick (along with his magnificent disappearing act) rather than Cristiano Ronaldo on your team.??

Ronaldo, the player who almost on his own won us the title last season, who has already scored I think 15 goals this season and who is regarded my millions as the greatest footballer in the world, and by FIFA as the third best.

Carrick is a good squad player, a step up from Fletcher you could say and a notch down from Hargreaves and Anderson.

Cheers anyway for giving me something to cheer me up after todays defeat.

I could go on and on about this subject but I think I'll give the rest of the members on the forum a chance....:)

but think about it if there is only 2 of ronaldo's goals that are winners and all of carriks goals winners to rely on a winner u would choose carrick
NO.

Are you actually serious or just drunk....??

Ronaldo created every goal we scored against Sunderland if you watch closely yet he scored only one. :)

Ronaldo crosses, he defends, he takes players on, he scores lots of goals which then turn a game in Uniteds favour or get us going.

Sure that is a neat record Carrick has got but would I or I presume any other Man Utd supporter preder Michael Carrick to play over Cristian Ronaldo.

NO ****ING WAY. :)

Do u actually mean Rooney? Wazza scored the opening goal against Sunderland to give us the driving edge that eventually, help us to score the next 3 goals. If u look clearly, he:

1)Scored the opening goal against Sunderland to give us the motivational belief that we can score more,
2)Assisted Louis Saha's for his first goal in 2 months, something which boosts the Frenchman's confidence highly,
3)Duped Craig Gordon into believing that he will be the one who takes the free-kick,with a clever,well-disguised feint which Ronaldo took it eventually & found the top left-hand corner of the net.
4)Shown that he has mature tremendously over the past few years by refusing to take the penalty and reject the chance to net a superb brace. Thus,he gives the chance of becoming 'hero' to his team-mate,Louis Saha who steals away his lime-light. :)

True I mean people are going on about Ronaldo since he missed that penatly , well einstien got it right there he is gonna miss a few times no doubt about that! Anyway Ronaldo scored more - giving the team more confidence to score more goals.
