Anyone seen this lad? Looks a great prospect, almost top scorer in Championship despite playing mainly as a winger...

Would anyone be against buying him as an understudy to Ronaldo?

He has some serious skills for a championship player

He is a very good player. He's been great in his two appearances for Scotland and is definitely good enough to play in the Premiership.

However, he isn't good enough to play for a Top 4 team.

You really don't think with a bit of time he could improve? The lads only 22

Yeah, I do think he could improve but I'm not sure he'd improve enough to play for a Top 4 team but I could be wrong. I think he could be good at a mid-table/UEFA Cup team though.

He is actually a striker by trade, but does an excellent job on the wing.

Yeah, from what i've seen (which isn't much granted, only 5-6 games) hes definitely better suited to the wing, like Ashley Young and Walcott, who were both strikers to begin with...

The lad already looks a lot more assured than Nani

Yeah, I think so too as he's skilful and has good pace. When he is on the wing though he can always come inside as he's a good finisher so you've got the best of both Worlds if he's on the wing really.

He played really well against Holland, but obviously he couldn't do it all himself, and against Iceland he got himself a goal with an excellent finish. He played on the wing for the first 70 mins and wasn't afraid to run at his full-back and managed to get past time and again.

Wigan were interested in him but he decided to goin Cardiff so that he wasn't taking too much of a jump, but I'm sure he'll be in the Premiership soon with Cardiff or someone else.

I actually quite like the look of him but at 22 do you really think he is better than Nani? and I dont even rate Nani. Still though, wouldnt mind seeing him at a prem club, looks good.

Hes scored 20+ goals in his debut season, and enjoys playing as a winger, plus hes a dead ball specialist...

Definitely worth a try i reckon, he also links up well with Fletch

He should get a move to the PL, because he's agood player..
Wouldn't be good enough for a "Big 4" team really, but would definatley be good enough for a top 10 team.. Villa, Everton, Spurs.. teams who would be looking to get into Europe next season..
I could see Steve Bruce signing him for Wigan, if he is to lose Valencia in the summer..!

Wow, if it ain't Benzema/Ribery/Aguero no one here cares...

Whatever happened to taking a chance on players... Cantona was a gamble, Ole was a gamble, Ronaldo was a gamble...

Open your minds...

It's Ross ******* Mccormack. **** me. Kevin Doyle looks class in the Championship, could barely cut it in the Premiership.

Same with:

Darren Huckerby
Robert Earnshaw
Ebanks-Blake (albeit hasn't been given a chance in the prem)
Seb Larsson

etc

Ross McCormack. Bloody hell.

So we can be linked with Delph, a full league lower and much less experianced, but not a full international?

Larsson was a flop at Arsenal before the championship, Blake the same at United. Earnshaw was always solid, never spectacular. Huckerby did well in the Prem, but was hyped too much, like Micheal Bridges...

What about:
Tim Cahill?
Jagielka?
Lescott?
Jimmy Bullard?
Stan Collymore?
Walcott?
Gareth Bale?
Chris Brunt?
Curtis Davies?

Dean Ashton?
Andy Johnson?
Kevin Phillips?
Kenwyne Jones?
Kevin Nolan?
Bellamy?
Gabbidon?
James Collins?

Yakubu?
Ian Wright?

Robbie Keane?
Tom Huddlestone?
Micheal Dawson?

Ashley Young?
Steve Bruce (GILLINGHAM?!?)
Denis Irwin (LEEDS - SECOND DIVISION?!?)
Andy Cole? (BRISTOL CITY?!?)
Teddy Sheringham? (MILWALL?!?)

Point proven?

Wake up and smell the coffee guys, we need something, and throwing all these £30-£40 million pound guys names around isn't going to happen...

He is definitely "good enough", like i've said, hes much better than Nani, and he cost £14 million

My bet is that you're either Welsh and need to bum up a Cardiff player; or Scottish and have to bum up a Scottish player.

Any twat can play for Scotland, and your basing it on that

Delph is a better player than McCormack, and that's proven. RM won't improve a great deal now anyway.

I thought you could have thought better than this. Ross McCormack. It was April the 1st 13 days ago mate.

Listen to yourself... Your saying players in the Championship can't play in EPL, then contradicting that by saying Delph can, even though hes League One...

Explain how Delph is 'proven'?

Give your head a shake, stop being childish, and grow the **** up

I'm not saying Championship players can't play in the Premier League (that's what it's called not EPL); but I know when a player has potential, and when a player has reached his level.

Delph has a lot of potential, and whether he goes on to be a Premiership regular or not, he has a lot of potential which can be nutured into a decent player. RM has gone past that stage, as he is at the stage where he has to make a name for himself.

Just because he's Scottish and you are (or he plays for Cardiff and you come from Cardiff) doesn't mean you have to bum him up.

Where have I been childish? You've brought up so no mark to play for United. We need first team material down the wing (other side to Ronaldo), not "back up".

Give your head a shake and discuss things for once

Im from Bradford, same place as Delph, actually, and i think both players are talents...

I'm not talking "back-up", i'm saying give this lad a try, he can't be worse than Nani, and looking at our financial state would be a more realistic approach than Ribery/Silva who everyone here seems to have a hard-on for, despite the fact BOTH have said they want to play for Barca...

Why compare the player to Nani who can't even get a game for us? The player has to be better than Park and offer a lot to the team.
