Rubbish but why not - The People that is the newspaper for anyone who does not know has claimed United are being sounded out for a swap deal. Louis Saha for Samuel Eto'o. Rubbish but it is the place for speculation!

Complete waffle but if they were offering that its a no brainer in all fairness. Eto'o is class and better than Saha. I love Louis but Eto'o is that step ahead in my eyes.

Load of bollocks. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is being linked with United. Can't believe anything, unless the club actually say something.

Eto'o >>> Saha. I'd say that they are foils of each other. Saha is very static and requires much assistance to make goals. Eto'o not only makes the goals, but also elaborates them well and ultimately benefits the team. This deal will be made on the same day that Fat Frank joins United :-/

The People can always be relied upon to print something that stirs matters up on
transfers and this Sunday is no exception.

Their exclusive is that Manchester United are exploring the possibility of bringing
Samuel Eto'o to Old Trafford.

The basis for this is Frank Rijkaard's difficulty in getting all his attacking talents on
the park at once- plus, United could certainly do with another striker.

One problem with the plan is that Eto'o could be away for 5 weeks in the New
Year at the African Nations Cup although the paper reckons this wouldn't worry
Sir Alex Ferguson.

Eto'o had his problems at Barca last season but with the continuing uncertainty
over the future of Ronaldinho, the Cameroon star may decide to bide his time.

The deal is also dependent on Louis Saha moving to Catalunya but given his
current fitness, it seems unlikely that Barca will see the Frenchman as a sound
investment.

If Saha does form part of the deal it still leaves United one forward light, as Sir
Alex is known to favour having 4 outright strikers available to him.

Overall, this deal doesn't seem like starter unless United are prepared to offer far
more cash- even then its not one to put money on.

This is a total bull ...! Fergie is not an idiot to stay on just 2 strikers for the whole january and a part of february when games are lining up ! Eto'o will be on African Cup of Nations duty and would disappear for the back end of January and early February. While I can see sense in bidding for Eto'o I really can't see what the idiot who launched this news on the net was thinking with swap deal !

Never gonna happen.

Saha is not as good as Eto.

Also Saha is a injury crisis.

This transfer is never gonna happen.

Absolutely nothing in it for Barca...

frank rijkaard could possibly consider a swap deal for eto'o as he feels saha is a quality payer who is placed highly in rijkaards list, rijkaard would consider a deal in the region of 10 million
