In his 15 years with the club,Paul Scholes is the only player who has not come face-to-face with manager Sir Alex Ferguson's "hair-dryer treatment''.

Paul Scholes is a fan of Oldham Athletic and has been seen at some of the club's home matches when they don't clash with his Manchester United commitments.

He has often hinted he would like to end his career at Oldham Athletic.
Paul is also a patron for Trust Oldham, the supporters trust set up by Oldham Athletic fans.

Paul has stated that he is an avid cook, specifically lasagne.

Paul does not have an agent and negotiates his own deals with Manchester United F.C.

Paul Scholes is asthmatic.

In his autobiography, Sir Bobby Charlton says that he believes that Scholes is the one player still playing who truly epitomises the spirit of Manchester United and what is great about football.

The goalscoring form he had during the 2002-03 season was fabulous, when he netted 20 goals in all competitions, including a Hat-Trick away to Newcastle United and a 25 yard screamer off the underside of the bar against Everton.

Unlike other footballers,he hates giving interviews and has never accepted advertising contracts before.

Sorry, but did Becks ruin this pic?

Yeah, rmb' the foul on Xabi Alonso,in which he attempted to punch the Scouser last season. He was sent off immediately , & Fergie was absolutely furious...........

I love Scholesy.....:)

But I'd have to disagree with Sir Bobby.......

Rooney, Giggs and Gazza also epitomise the spirit of Manchester United in my humble opinion.....:)
Yeah, agreed. But who dares 2 rebuke him when he's the Greatest Manchester United Player of all time? Giggsy may overtake him in total club appearances, but his goals r still far away Sir Bobby's......tho Wazza may overtake this record in 'bout 10 years time(provided he stays 4 dat long). Sir Bobby's also holds the record of all-time record goal-scorer in both Manchester United & England.:)
Relax mate,I'm not contesting what u say. I actually agree that Sir Bobby's comments r NOT always right(see my previous post). Anyway......

Sir Bobby Charlton>Ian Rush
Paul Scholes>Stevie G
Old Trafford>Anfield
Manchester United>Liverpool
Yeah,Pele said that Germany will win the FIFA 2006 World Cup,before the Italy game, and the Germans crash out to the the Azurrisin semi-final. He also predicted both Spain & Portugal will fare very well in the FIFA 2002 World Cup. Spain crash out to Korea Republic in the 2nd Round & Portugal didn't even make it past the group stages. It proves that great players r not definitely the best analyst.
