Tomasz Kuszczak got the surprise nod ahead of Ben Foster for the game against
Bolton - and found himself a little busier than he might have expected.

Was Sir Alex Ferguson resting the player ahead of the weekend's crucial match
against Liverpool, or has the boss already made up his mind that Kuszczak will
keep the jersey while Edwin Van der Sar remains injured?

The Liverpool game is crucial and there is a world of difference between this
match and the one against Derby but does Foster deserve a run in the side
considering how well he played in his debut?

Perhaps his chance has come just too late in the season.

We reckon Foster, though limited in experience, would relish the big games - but
tell us what you think.

Should Foster play against Liverpool?

Kuszczak had a good game vs Bolton and has more experience, then again Foster was very very good vs Derby! I love these choices which Fergie has to make lol Umm I read that VDS is back in traning and should start, so the question might be who is going to start on the bench? Sir Alex said the reason why Foster did not play vs Bolton is because he is not registered to play in Europe, hence letting Kuszczak get more games under his belt. I have no clue on which one to chose Kuszczak or Foster becuase they are both good imo but I think experience has to be crucial in this game so I would pick Kuszczak.

I will have to go for Foster...
Like I always say, Kuszczak is not calm during games and with his pathetic clearance, we cannot afford to lose many pocession to Liverpool. The more attacking chance given to them is like giving them freeebies.

And I often realised one thing about Kuszczak is that he never seems to communicate much with the defenders and this time round, I'm not sure if Rio is playing? With Foster in line I think our defence will support him more then Kuszczak...

This is due to the metality of protecting a young goalkeeper.

boy - this is a tough one... Well Tommy is awful at crosses and we might see plenty of that.Especially if Crouch enters the game in some stage. But Tommy has a decent reflexes, then again so does foster. but Foster has just started playing and has been injured for a great period of season... Whoever he picks - we'll need to cross our fingers coz none of'em is as the same stage as VDS now

If vds is injured on Sunday which is touch and go at the mo then it wont b e an issue- Krushchak will get the nod. I dont remember him ever letting us down and given he has been the understudy all season its a nobrainer who Fergie will choose. That said Foster is our future no 1 and I would not bet against him being first choice next season.

Kuszczak has good reactions and saved a shot that was destined for the back of the net against Derby, but I feel he can be a bit shaky when collecting crosses. I have to say that I am comfortable with either Kuszczak or Foster should vds be injured on Sunday.

The game will depend more on our ability to shut out Gerrard and Torres. Should Torres get a goal-scoring opportunity we would be in trouble any way and I feel that all three could do a similar job and It boils down to whether they can keep their nerve.

I always liked Foster but never liked Kuszczak. I remmember Foster's last seasion in watford. He was great there. So i'll be so happy to see him in the game against Liverpool and any other game when VDS is not available. I believe Foster is the next England keeper.
