Jimmy has done quite well for Aberdeen. We've never had the best of squads but still managed 5 top half finishes as well as reaching the knock oiut stages of the Uefa Cup.
I agree with 004, i do think Jimmys taken us as far as he can, but hopefully the next manager can get Aberdeen to go one step further.

That's true, and he's never had a lot of money to spend as Aberdeen aren't exactly flourishing financially.
Mark McGhee has been installed as early favourite, and I think that would be the wrong move. He's not a great manager imo. He usually has a good season/season and a bit at the club then it usually turns to mediocrity.
They might go for someone unknown outside of Scotland, maybe an assistant manager at a club or a former player who would just be starting off in management, but I'm not really sure who that could be.
The Daily Express has said today that the Aberdeen squad have heard rumours that Willie Miller is stepping down into the managers role from his director of football position

I said last summer that he should have left then, and was surprised that he stayed. He probably wishes he did now because this season hasn't been great and he's leaving on a low.
I can't say I'm particularly surprised. This was expected. A couple of pundits thought he would, and I did as well whether he won the League or not. The betting has been available for the next Celtic manager all morning, and was shown on Sky Sports News this morning.

Exactly. He'll be so high because he's a Celtic fan, and apparently he'd jump at the offer because he didn't get the chance to play for them Looking at the list, you could rule out plenty of them for one reason or another and some of the names Celtic fans are throwing around (Moyes, Klinnsman etc) wouldn't touch the job with a bargepole.
As for Aberdeen, Willie Miller has said he isn't taking the managers job and he won't manage any club again. Mark McGhee is apparently waiting to see if he's a contender for the Celtic job.
