Manchester United are ready to expand Old Trafford to almost 90,000.
United's chief executive David Gill revealed the long term plan is to eventually make Old Trafford even bigger than the 80,000-plus Sir Alex Ferguson is pushing for.
He said: "We turn away a large number of fans every game and if we put the capacity up I'm sure it would be well received."
Gill has also revealed the club are planning to erect a statue of Ferguson at Old Trafford to salute his achievements at the club.

i think it will be a great idea, we can fit more fans in there and profit more than we are right now. We can also get the record attendance from the premier league. Not to let arsenal, liverpool, and everton do more than us! It will be more than Real Madrid stadium too. Oh, let it be true. =]
