Is anyone else disapointed by our striker's this season? We've brought Berbatov for £30 million and has only 6 goals to show for it, while i think Rooney and Tevez have looked stale at times this season. It says something when Ronaldo is our top goalscorer this season and he did not return till the end of September.

You can't put all of the blame on the strikers. if they're not being fed quality passes they can't score. Our midfield has been all over the show this season with injuries left, right and centre. We haven't been able to stick with a central midfileld pairing at all this season due to the injuries. Any team that's missing quality players like Scholes, Carrick and Hargreaves will lose a hell of a lot of it's creativity. We can't expect the strikers to create chances for themselves everytime. Goalscoring is a team effort.

With regards to Berbatov He'ss done really well. He's scored six goals and has assisted six more. So he's had a hand in 12 goals in his 12 starts. That's brilliant for his debut season with us.

The midfield have been the problem all season , and anyway the inquest should start at the end of the season.
we might with some luck win a couple of trophies this year

We have struggle to get goals this season
Only away from Old Trafford.

Man City are the only team to have scored more goals at home than us in the Premier League but there are 10 teams who have scored more than us away from home.

Overall only Chelsea and City have scored more goals than us in the Prem.

I dont see the problem with Berbatov "only" scoring 6 goals so far, personally I think that is pretty good for a player still settling in to a new team, new city, new style of play etc. Look at the £20M wasted by Liverpoo on Keane, and his goal return. That would be something to whine about!

You really cant compare goals scored this season with last, as there have been too many injuries/disruptions to be able to get a consistent run going.

That said, the strikers werent overly prollific last term - assuming we still classify Ronaldo as a winger! Take away Ronnies 42 goals, and where would we of been?
