I think it is an absolute disgrace how the club are dealing with the tevez situation at present. We as supporters are clearly aware of the mans genius on the pitch and it was made clear to him and us as supporters that the 'final transfer' would be sorted out in the summer.
Such issues do create unnecessary anomosities within the club as to the player, and the sooner its sorted the better. I hear he will be partaking in the game against Derby on wednesday evening. I appreciate what Wazza1989 is saying and agree with many points he says. A great player. Let's support him.

Nice post and i agree with what you're saying. Although i dont think anyone is worth the money he is asking for, If other players are getting it why shouldn't he. I wish noone was being paid this highly including Rooney but it can't be reversed now.

I'd take the story about his wage demands with a pinch of salt. One of the articles I read claimed Tevez was asking for £130k per week!!! That's ludicrous and I don't believe it for a second. It'll be interesting to see how this saga unfolds over the next few months.

Ya agree with ya there Toybo, but I think he might be using Utd's reluctance not to pay him big money as a scapegoat to leave Utd. As in he doesn't want to say in public, 'I wanna leave', as he has too much respect for the club. I really think he's fed up at playing second fiddle. Would love to see him stay but not at the figures being mentioned. Maybe 20-23m and 70 k a week.

Carlos Tevez Admits He Could Leave Manchester United

The Argentine forward has told a radio interviewer that he was made no contract offer by the Red Devils...

Carlos Tevez has reacted angrily to claims from Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson that he recently turned down a contract offer from the club.

The Argentine is effectively out of contract at the end of this season, but it has been rumoured that his wage demands have put paid to the idea of an easy renovation.

This speculation came to a head following Ferguson's recent declarations to Sky Sports.

"I have no idea about Tevez," said the boss.

"The contract is due to be the end of the season anyway but obviously we tried to bring it forward and we will keep trying to do that.

"But it is difficult with agents sometimes. All the managers signing players this January will experience that."

Tevez's Reaction

However, Tevez rejects the idea that he's been given anything approaching an offer to remain at the Red Devils, and as such he admits that his future could lie elsewhere, even though leaving the United fans would be a wrench.

"My future? I don't know. Manchester (United) know what they have to pay if they want me to stay," he told Radio Del Plata.

"It bothers me that they are messing about with the fans, who give me their affection in each game.

"It must be made clear that I haven't received an offer. And if I leave the club I want to do so feeling good."

On a move away, he added, "Now all clubs are on an equal footing. If a club comes to me and offers me a five-year deal, I will accept it for peace of mind.

"But I'd like to stay for as long as I'm not involved in such rumour-mongering.

"I will sign my last contract, and then I figure that I'll go back to Boca (Juniors.) That could be in four or five years."

Other clubs will have followed this statement with interest - not least Real Madrid, who are said to be among the front-runners for Tevez's signature.

it still remains a dillemma though i have a feeling that after all this comotion, he will stay at United. Yet, we still have to think that if he leaves, we shouldn't search for anymore strikers, cause' we have Welbeck, and we shouldn't forget that Campbell will return in the summer, so...

I really hope that tevez will stay and this whole saga will finish with him signing a permanent deal with us. We need players like him in our squad. I don't believe that he wanted 130,000k per week

We cant complain that on recent performances he doesn't deserve the money because, like nani, he has been left out of the starting lineup a lot. And if that affects his fitness then true he is not suitable for our rotation system that ferguson clearly is trying to build to challenge on all fronts. Never, however, will i doubt this guys quality and sheer drive and determination.

I think the issue with Tevez and a lot of South Americans is that it dents their pride to not be considered first choice. Tevez is using the media to let United know that he does have other options and just because he is happy here at the moment doesn't mean that he can't up and leave. I personally would love to see him continue at United. The pressure he puts on the opposition defence trying to play their way out of trouble is fantastic. He plays with such pride and always runs himself into the ground.

Ok, then get a couple mates together and buy him.

You're not spending the money and we've already spent
£50mil. over the last six months buying real world class
and potential world class players, Tevez is neither and if
he is indeed asking for more than he's offered I would tell
him to leave. It's not like Berbatov who was basically wrestled
off Tottenham, Tevez's tranfer fee goes into Kia Joorabchian's
pockets.
