well we could be bigger in South America, altough Tevez and Anderson are helping us with that.

i'm not sure if this helps us as a brand but if we increase the stadium to say atleast 85000 then it will really set us apart.

one thing we really need is to get bigger in south america - which we are. Most brazillian players consider Madrid to be the niggest club, wheras Asia think we are, now sure Asia bring in more money, but SA have better players so hipefully they will put us on par with Madrid soon.

Gone are the days where the local men from Salford look forward to going United at the weekend, after a long week working in mines etc.

Yes, we earn a lot of revenue from asians who buy everything to do with "Man flippin U" and good job we do to keep these interest payments away.

But what's so good about getting bigger?

Prefer to be a smaller club with great support, than a worldwide megawhore with so many JCL's, their life started in 1999, or now 2007

your title says it all, WE ARE JUST A BRAND to be marketed. Football Club was dropped from the "corporate" logo and that was the end of any dreams of us being a football club, now just a money spinning mega business. At least my avatar still says football club.

United made money when becoming a plc, shareholders and marketing. Sky money was just more money in an already full coffer of cash. Remember, as a plc we had zero debt too. The operative words in my previous post were "football club dropped from logo" - when we became a business, not a club.

dont like thinking United as a brand. We are first and foremost a football club and should not be worried about maximising exposure worldwide.

Rumours of USA requesting the Charity Shield to be played over the pond is just the start of football moving further away from the fans and towards where the money is.

Good support which the club is etched inside them, and they think the club belongs to them. Rather than a world full of JCL's who now nothing and only support us because we are good.

If we are a poorer side, so be it.
