WBA find themselves bottom of the Premier League on Christmas day of the 08/09
season...and the stats are there for proof, that if you are bottom on Christmas day,
then...you face a relegation come May HOWEVER, unless your WBA?

They're the ONLY team to ever buck that trend and once again they find themselves
holding up 19 other teams on December 25th, and after beating the worlds richest
club, 2-1...

So what do you think? Will WBA avoid the drop come May?

tony mowbray needs to compromise a bit or he'll take them down...... west brom have fantastic players - for the championship- they aren't good enough as a unit to play like that at premier league level and survive. also big big big mistake letting kevin phillips go....should have agreed to the 2 year deal he wanted rather than offering him 12 months and nothing else, hence him leaving for birmingham. he would have notched a few at this level

mowbray is a deluded fool.
did he honestly think west brom could come up and try to play attractive football, he should be parking the "bus" in front of goal.
surely the best option is first and foremost survival and then try to build a squad capable competing in mid table or there abouts.

relegation is imminent.

Can't do it with Mowbray
They need someone stronger
Maybe they need a different more ruthless manager to pull it off

WBA try and play nice football but as eeryone else has commented, they don't have the acttle to do it. The big lad Miller up front looks useful but the team don't have any depth. You have to admire Mowbray for playing attractive football but it is a little niave when their first goal should be to play whatever style is needed to stay up (ie Bolton & Sunderaldn in their first years in the top flight)

Basically, as good a manager as Tony Mowbray is, he needs to take a long hard look at himself and his team.

Generally, the players aren't good enough for the Prem, whether that is lack of experience or lack of talent. They may be good enough to survive, but the style of football will mean they won't. Everyone loves to see good, flowing football but they aren't good enough to do it and. I'm sure the West Brom fans would rather see another season at least in the Premiership.
