why can't some of the fans get off the glazers backs, for christ sake their doing a decent job ,they don't interfere they have bought players to the club and MOST IMPORTANTLY utd are winning trophies ,that sounds good to 95% of utd fans.
i know the cost of tickets has risen ,but they have at every other club also, and the cost of petrol gas and electricity have gone through the roof, when you add it all up utd is still decent value COMPARED to other rip off merchants.i do believe tickets should be cheaper at every club has more working class people can attend instead of corporate clients ,but the glazers never started that trend it happens at all clubs.

Isn't this all great for the club?

We all saw at Chelsea how Roman was always being seen with a weird creepy
smile clapping his hands after a heroic 1-0 win against Wigan. That all caused
trouble as he was always in the spot light.

Need I say, that the exact same is currently going on at Liverpool. Two muppets
come in and stir waters which were alright before hand, got the team un-rested,
the fans angry and now they are the scourge of Mersyside (Red).

The Glazers have come here, and "told" us that they would dump huge debts on
United and they would ease all debts, Fergie's job was safe, Fergie would have
cash amounts to spend, and they would not get involved in the football end of
things. And they have done exactly that!

The less we hear the better, is all I can say!

well done guys ,the most important issue is utd remain successful which they have been.and considering the backing chelski has got i didn't believe utd would win the league for 5 years ,with the help of the glazers utd managed to stop them at 2 .and its now looking like we might dominate once again ,forget the politics just get behind the club 100%,its the football we watch, nothing else should enter the equation.

no need for that mate... he's very entitled to his opinion and its one alot agree with
Do you not care that Glazer is pricing out of Old Trafford people who have been going for over 50 years.

Do you not care that we have gone from one of the richest clubs in the world to one full of debt in a single stroke

Do you not care that the profit we made last year was wiped out in INTEREST payments on our debt in a year where we won the league and got to the final of the fa cup and the semi final of the champions league (A successful financial year, for all the thickos out there).

Do you think our success will last forever.

Why are the Glazers at the club. For fun? Through Boredom? No, becuase they see it as a way of making money. They will decide to sell it one day and make a hefty profit but still leave the club in debt.

Look at the plight of Leeds, all it took was one bad season for their debts to spiral out of control. Don't think that it can't happen to us because it can and it probably will, but not before the whole culture and fabric of the club has been raped by the Glazers

Hey but as long as we're doing OK now, its all fine.

Banging your head against the wall mate.
Been trying for 8 months to get some people to open their eyes and wake up.
Sadly most on here dont go to matches, go twice a year or just dont care
about the thousands of long standing REDS who have been forced out
for hundreds of reasons.
It's a sad case of "we're doing alright on the pitch, who cares".
" Sod you jack, i'm alright attitude ".

i agree with number11 and SAL.

it scares me that we are in HUGE amounts of millions in debt.
i read on on another forum afew months back and it made me nervous....

all off last years profits going into just paying off interest is very worrying.....

being honest though, i only know from bits and bobs i have read so take from it what u will....BUT....
what i dont get is surely they knew they'd be in debt buying the club....SO...surely they have/had a plan to somehow make money from it...
again this worrys me....

Imo the Glazers have done well..the best thing is they let David Gill and Fergie be...unlike that joke of a club liverpoo where the americans try to run everything! They have given us cash and has helpd Fergie alot and also have bought all quality players...VDS, Park, Evra, Vidic, Foster, Ando, Nani, Tevez, Hargo, Carrick, Manucho (still to be proven but looks good to me so far!) and the list will continue to grow this summer =) We are winning throphies and if not we are progressing well in them like FA cup final last season and quarters this season so I am a happy fan!

I agree with that back to scences part totally and being a fan should not just be what is on the pitch but also the things behind it and it is very important information and that is my only negative about the Glazers till now...I am hoping they can repay all the debt in few seasons and we can get back to being the richest club in the world :)

Everyone, please chill out about the financial health of the club! A couple of comments:

1 - Should the Glazers decide to sell, THEY would have to pay off the debt - not the purchaser. The purchaser would arrange for their own financing.

2 - The Glazers may be arrogant, but they are not stupid. They virually have to make sure that United stay on top to maintain (and hopefully increase) the inhrerent value of the club. Otherwise, they would lose millions when they do eventually sell.

3 - The instituitions that financed the debt are not stupid either (recent events in the financial community notwithstanding). They would have done significant due dilligence and were obviously convinced that the business plan and financial case justified the debt. These institutions are not in business to lose money, own football clubs, or lend such ridiculous sums without being sure of a return.

4 - Debt financing the purchase of an asset is commonplace, and it is not unusual for a business case to predict early losses (owing to various factors including interest payments). In this respect, the Glazers may even be ahead of the game.

5 - Cash Flow is everything in evaluating an enterprise, and Manchester United more than provides that. This is why it was (and still is) such a very attractive proposition. Again, the Glazers have to keep United where they are to maintain this cash flow.

You can despise the Glazers for any number of reasons - financial stupidity should not be one of them.

i totally agree with moondog, the glazers are very clever and successful business men and utd have improved immensley since they took over.i think you will find most of those fans that spend a lot of time critizing them would probabley sack fergie if he lost 3 in a row, they seem to convince themselves that they run the club .if you look at the facts "thusfar the glazers have been good for utd" and all those who totally disagrees need a check up from the neck up.

just keep digging mate, its not doing you any good. Most of the fans that
criticise the Glaziers are the 'true reds' and former/match going reds.
You need to do more research before coming out with silly statements.
Just because we won the Premiership doesnt mean the club is safe
or out of trouble yet.
I think you will find you are in the minority (of people that actually have a clue
of whats going on) and you my friend dont as you seem to know sweet fa ;)

Moondog makes some great points about the financial health of the club
but just read posts 13 & 14 properly and then answer some of the questions asked.
