Is it to early to start believing or talking about it?
Through to the quarters of the CL,
Through to the quarters of the Fa Cup,
Nicely poised in 2nd in the League.

10 Prem games left
3 possibles in the Fa cup
5 possibles in the CL

18 games to decide our destiny. Its most definitely possible.....
Any thoughts?

champions league is too unpredictable, we still have six teams capable of winning the trophy, us, arsenal, barcelona, real madrid, chelsea, liverpool, the last three providing they get thru.

it is more realistic talking about the double, coz it is there to be taken. we can get into the Fa cup final and we r in a decent position in the league, especially when arsenal continue to be challenging in europe with their thin squad.

treble is on, but there are jobs to be done

we will not win the treble. 1999 was a freak and i would doubt seeing it again. we wud hav to play out of this world in each comp and get a nice slice of luck. If u really tink about it we'll fall short in at least 1 comp. But we will win something. Excitin times tho.

we will have to have a whole lot of luck and good perfomances all around the team to win the treble this season......one game is enough in each of the cups to lose it.....so treble is not impossible but highly unlikely.....but if we can keep our perfomances consistent and our big players fire in the important games then we have a high chance of winning the treble...

We trashed Roma 7-1 in the quarter finals of the CL last season and then quickly lost inexplicably and meekly in the semis to Milan. Now we are only in the quarters.... So definitely too soon to talk about the elusive Treble at this moment. :(

can we please, please not talk about it ?! it's not gonna happen ! ever again ! no one will win it again !!! everything must click together to win it, and we haven't won anything yet ! the last time we spoke about the treble was followed by spurs and city matches !

It is impossible for us to win the treble because we do not have good enough strikers. I am worried about Rooney playing up front as the main striker as his finishing is very poor, he consistently makes the wrong decisions in front of goal. He is turning into an expensive version of Alan Smith, lots of effort and running but little quality. Against Barca or Madrid you may get one or two clear chances in the match and I certainly would not put any money on Rooney finishing it. Even when Louis Saha is fit I think he is a pretty run of the mill striker whose not exactly clinical either. Tevez is not a main striker, he is an attacking midfielder as that is where he spends all of his time. So we have two strikers in our entire squad, one is always injured and the other could not hit a barn door with a banjo.

I believe it is possible. Our squad is almost back to full strenght, just as soon as Silvestre and Gary return and provided we sustain no more injuries.

But we can only really start believing once we are in the Semi's or past them in both Cups and preferably back on Top in the league.

you certainly are doing a good job at playing devil's advocate!!!Listen mate if we had such a sub standard front line how come we are the top scorers in the premiership. You may say Ronaldo has contributed it half of them but who provided the assists? The likes of Rooney, tevez and even saha have more than justified their selection with their contirbution in terms of their unselfish team work that have made us THE team to be feared in the league. Okay Rooney's finishing is not top notch but give me him over van nistlerooy any day of the week. You say in another post we should never have got rid of him-where have you been the last 18 months. It was clear and obvious to everyone that the side in terms of morale and the tempo of our football has been better off without him.the 5 games we have lost because he is our talisman. He has scored 72 goals in 3 and a half seasons which is not half bad for someone who cant hit a barndoor with a banjo. His energy.his abillity to bring the best out of others around him and his all Wazza has been missing for round genius in terms of guile are badly missed eg the city game, the villa cup game (before he came on), the bolton game etc.You say its because we have no striker to replace him. Well we had saha for the bolton and west ham games, ronaldo in the derby so we were not exactly short of options. besides we had plenty of chances in those games but squandered them badly.AS for us mistakenly selling rossi come off it he couldnt get even on to the bench when we loaned him to Newcastle.

As for the treble yes i think its not unrealistic to say its on. As Fergie said we have the strongest squad we have ever had . Unlike last year we have plenty of cover in every position made even stronger with Silvestre, neville and Foster coming back and we have the experience and confidence of winning the league last season.I really do think its our best chance since 99 so lets get behind the boys and leave out the negative rhetoric that in the case of Rooney has no basis in fact:)

I don't rule out the possibility... Some of the Old fighters in the Utd squad would love to relish the treble feeling. They might not have time for a chance after this season as most of them are near retiring age. Look as all the opportunities are still open, I believe in them that they are capable. Afterall I think it is also time for Utd to claim the Champions League, not many strong teams are left in the FA CUP as well. Arsenal league form is not doing well too, one point down with a home game at hand. We might see the treble...

Agreeable?
