what is with this Walcott and his "everyone is affraid of us " statements

it's clearly an inferiority complex with him :p

Theo Walcott last night turned up the pressure on title rivals Manchester United - by claiming Sir Alex Ferguson's men have been left running "scared" after their defeat at the Emirates.

Gunners whizzkid Walcott, 19, insisted: "Everyone knows that Manchester United are a worldclass team - and we need to make teams come to the Emirates and be scared of us.

"That performance will put fear in people's minds."

And Walcott said their 2-1 victory over United, courtesy of two Samir Nasri goals - has also proved that Arsenal are in the title race - despite their recent slip - ups against Stoke, Tottenham and Hull.

Walcott revealed the Arsenal players had a crisis meeting on Friday - and responded by beating United which has left their rivals with a "fear factor."

He added: "The players tried to ignore the criticism and we showed against Man United that if we just play like that we will be fine.

"United are just behind us in the Premier League table now, so that win has definitely boosted our confidence and morale in the dressing-room. We're third now, so, hopefully, results will go our way."

Walcott admitted that after United's late consolation they feared a repeat of their late collapse against Tottenham, but insists the players have now put that 4-4 result behind them. He added: "It was a brilliant performance and just what we needed.

"The main thing was to get the three points. We had a meeting on Friday night and it showed.

"It could have been Tottenham all over again against United, but we wanted to show the fans we could ride it out and we did."

And Walcott insists the supporters can play their part as well.

He said: "The fans were absolutely brilliant, it was the loudest I have ever heard them.

"Hopefully, they will be like that for the rest of the season because it definitely gives the players a boost.

"It's going to be a close title race until the end of the season. It's not going to be a onehorse race, there will be quite a few involved. Hopefully, we will be the team in there fighting

my god ,when will they understand that they're out of the title race ?!

i mean we're 5 points behind (if we win the game in hand ) and they're 6 - but their 6 is like our 10 !
