we have conceded avoidable goals from deep crosses, 2 from freekicks one from just a deep cross:confused:

its definitely a weak point at the moment.

at the bride kalou scored, surely someone has to deal with it, look at the size of him......http://www.d1g.com/video/show/2307567
at goodison fellani scored from another deep cross....http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1699444/
OT on saturday cousins equaliser to make it 1-1.....http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1722826/

its starting to worry me.this is NOT a DOOM thread but it frustrates me with the quality of our defence that it seems like we can't deal with deep balls in.
if we have to work on something (apart from not cruising when we are leading) then SAF must look at all 3 of them and work on it as all 3 were avoidable.
thoughts?

Well, I'm not really sure what the problem is.

But I think that, this season in general, our standard of defending has dropped from the past 2 years, and hopefully we'll get it sorted soon. Its alright saying "But as long as we score more than the opposition" but thats quite a bad attitude to have and could cause serious problems against better teams, and in some games our luck will run out.

Some people said that Carlos Quieroz played a massive part in our defensive work and defensive coaching, so perhaps its that.

Our defending has been decidedly dodgy on occasion this season. Brown, Rio and Vidic have all made mistakes - some more costly than others.

Conceding 3 goals at home is certainly unusual for United and a sign that something is not quite right.

EDIT: Btw, I know those aren't the 3 goals this thread is about.
