LMAO! No Lev Yashin,'The Black Panther'? No the great Gordon Banks too?
Lev Yashin kept a total of 480 clean sheets in 812 career games played, & saved over 150 penalty kicks! :D He kept 4 clean sheets in 13 WC appearances and conceded only 70 goals in 78 caps for USSR national football team!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lev_Yashin

Gordon Banks was frequently seen making amazing reflex saves and possessed flawless positional sense, superb agility and excellent reading of attackers' movements and pure instincts. During England's journney of FIFA 1966 WC, he created a world record of conceding only his first goal to a penalty from Eusebio after 403 minutes! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Banks

 Thanks for laughing at my list
I only included ONE goalkeeper because thats all I deemed necessary and since Schmeichal was the greatest keeper EVER imo, thats why I put him in.

As I said before, I only half threw my list together and I think its a mighty fine list thank you very much (even better than yours :p) so keep your lmao's to yourself ya young pup.

Never try and make a top 10 list unless your an actual football expert. You will never do it right. Even the experts who do it for a living spend months on it. And its better if you include players who dont currently play.

Why not make a list?
Its just a bit of fun.....
And the current players I picked have had longer careers than most of the players on the actual list did.
And who said I wasnt an expert ;)

Sorry, but i doubt it....:p Schmeichel's a GREAT goalkeeper, there's no question 'bout dat. But him as the GREATEST goalkeeper in the whole world ever? Just imagine if either one of Lev Yashin or Gordon Banks has played for us & doing all of the heroics which they has done for their respective clubs,I think many ppl here will start to change their opinions instantly! Below are what Diego Maradona & Pele has said about both of them:

Pele on Gordon Banks: He's the 'hero who can fly'! We lived in an era when sporting heroes were ordinary and unassuming men whose very modesty was the oxygen of dreams. And across the water, on a neighbouring island with whom we Irish had been at war for centuries I had a hero who could fly. His name is GORDON BANKS. From being a timid, fearful young boy he taught me that impossible doesn't exist. Unknown to him he helped save a young fan from making choices that had brought too much sorrow and sadness to Irish and British alike. Who knows? Perhaps it was his best save ever!

Diego Maradona: The joy of seeing Yuri Gagarin flying in space is only superseded by the joy of a top-class penalty save by Lev Yashin, the greatest goalkeeper in the world ever!

Let me add that even if you are an actual football expert, your list will still never be accepted as The List. An obviously highly subjective issue as opinions, yardsticks etc differ even amongst the experts.

So cool it, guys. Just for good fun and laughter only. Welcome to Football Banter.
