transfer gists

I think Huntelaar would be a good signing aswel, wont cost over £15 mil either. But i dont think we'll go for him anymore, but tbh i'm happy with our squad atm, i'll be very happy with it if we get Tevez though!

A - If United signed Huntelaar we'd go back to our six yard ways - very boring
It was effective but teams soon copped on! Getting rid of Ruud was for the best in that way because United now have variety! With Ruud it was same ol' same ol'.

B- United wouldn't get Huntelaar anything less then 15 Million because whatever Ajax make on Huntelaar, Heerenveen his old club get a 25% cut of the profits. Leaving Ajax with a Bad deal ! So you'd probably be talking 18 - 20 Million and a club like Ajax who don't have the strongest financial backing so they'd hike the price up big time!

ALll in all - Huntelaar is a bad deal ! Tevez might be like Rooney, he drops back, but United attack quick, he adds that something extra in goals and in play where as Huntelaar it is just goals. Ruud never got involved in the play quite like he did at PSV. Huntelaar would be the same. I have watched him time and time again and he is too much like Ruud.

fair enough, but from what i have seen of Huntelaar he does alot more work outside the box than RVN did...i think he'll work well with Rooney & the rest of the squad.

Another reason i wouldnt mind united trying him is, dutch strikers usualy do pretty well in the Prem - Bergkamp, Ruud, Van Persie, Kuyt & theres probably one or two more. So i dont see why Huntelaar would be different.

Id rather Tevez than him though

Fair enough they have a good record infact a great record, I agree. But Bergkamp, Van Persie and Kuyt are very different players to Ruud ! Kuyt has yet to really prove himself for me anyway in both Prem and CL. I 'd still prefer Tevez!

P.S I didn't know either until about 6 months ago, I read it on another forum!

id say we need 1 to cover Saha, if Rooney gets injured and is going to miss a game, when Saha is already out we might be in a bit of trouble

The fact that most of our goals came from midfield shows we need a good striker. Rooney was very patchy last season. Scored like 10 goals in 4 games in the first half of the season, its just those 4 games were so spread out....

We need a Quality Striker!!!

yeah so would i. if we could get say half of the 18-20 million from the sales of saha smith n dong then i might go for it, but im sure a player of his status and age would demand first team football but i see what you mean =)
