Does anybody think that we will buy a player from the premiership this summer ? Unlikely ? We signed Tevez last time..... But this time will we buy a player from the top flight ? Berbatov was rumored to come to Old Trafford..... but anyone else.... Highly unlikely thinking of Benzema's and Huntelaar's..........

Manucho isn't proven at any sort of high level so no-one knows how he will serve in the United squad at the highest posible level.
Macheda is nowhere near good enough for the first team yet, nor will we even consider him when the time comes around in a few months.
Campbell is likely to be a first team squad member, and looks a class act from his spell at Hull. However, he is not really a player we would like to be relying on to come in for a tired Rooney on a rainy away night at Middlesbro'.

Who really knows who we will buy?
A forward is needed and there are very good options out there,
very expensive options and bad options.
Its a hard one to call but Id be very happy with one of:
Benzema(not going to happen), Berbatov, Eto'o, Villa, Huntelaar or
Quagliarella.
They all bring something different to the party though. How will they fit into
our system? Do we want a tall, silky, 'slow' player in the mould of Berba or Hunt?
or a nippy, direct player like Villa or Eto'o?
Its hard to speculate like this... I guess we just gotta wait and see who we sign
and then worry about it then.

I agree on Berbatov. I have always raved about him and think
he is Cantona-esque if there is such a thing. Last season he was the
best forward in the Prem bar Drogba.

He has a unique natural talent that can dismay and amaze

Just to remind everybody WE WERE GOING TO SIGN BERBATOV! David Gill wanted to complete the sale of Ruud van Nistlerooy first before signing Berbatov.
Berba knew that Utd were serious but Gill kept asking him to wait - In the end he felt Spurs wanted him more and signed for Spurs.
Players from the EPL I admire and think would make our squad better:
