David Trezeguet Is Not Happy At Juventus – Agent

After being on the verge of leaving Juventus several times over the past few years, it looks like the time has really come for David Trezeguet to say his goodbyes this summer.

The 31-year-old has grown increasingly frustrated at his lack of playing time in recent months and his agent, Antonio Caliendo, has said that the situation has now reached a point of no return.

“He cannot be happy at this,” the representative insisted on Sport Mediaset. “Ask [coach Claudio] Ranieri if he would be happy to be [Jose] Mourinho’s assistant manager.

“However, I think contracts must be honoured, so Juve will have to make the first move.”

Trezeguet has spent nine seasons at Juve after joining from Monaco in 2000, however, his relationship with Ranieri deteriorated after the Champions League tie with Chelsea, when the striker hit out at ‘Tinkerman’ after being replaced towards the end of the second leg clash at the Olimpico.

“We are talking about a European and world champion,” added Caliendo.

“David is a great professional and has always shown great affection towards the fans and the shirt, so much so that he turned down prestigious offers in the past, like the one from Barcelona.

“He has always trained hard and was ready to play when called upon, even if it was just for five minutes. Now the ball is in Juve’s court.”

It is but there are some quotes in the article. The reason I post this here is because I think Trezeguet will be a good short term fix for the club. If the Tevez deal is not made permanent, we can use him as a third choice striker untill the likes of Welbeck and Macheda are ready for first team football. He is a clinical finisher and a good targetman who is capable of playing with his back to goal. He could link up well with Wayne Rooney. Food for thought?

English interest in Trezeguet
Father claims Premier League clubs are chasing striker

David Trezeguet's father has claimed the French forward is a transfer target for several Premier League clubs.

Trezeguet's contract with Juventus does not expire until 2011 but he has fallen down the pecking order under Claudio Ranieri.

He has made just six Serie A appearances in an injury-hit campaign and speculation has suggested he could move on in the summer.

Jorge Trezeguet, who also serves as his son's agent, has now announced that a number of English clubs are interested in securing his services.

"Everyone wants him in England," said Jorge Trezeguet.

"Lyon also are interested in him while relations with Barcelona are always good.

"We will see what happens at the end of the season."

Trezeguet opted to remain with Juve last summer despite reported interest from Barcelona.

Obviously there is a chance that he's trying to get some publicity for his player, as happens regularly. But, IF this is true, who do you think will be interested in him?

I'm thinking Arsenal and Man City atm.
