Each team is in a five-team group and will play two opponents at home and the other two away, with the opening games to be played on 23 October.

Three teams from each group qualify for the next knockout round.

The final is in Istanbul on 20 May.

How many of the PL teams will go through from the group stage?

pretty much the same in terms of strength of teams in each group, but considering 3 teams get through from each group i'd expect most of the english sides to qualify for the next round to be honest.

Pompey v AC Milan will be an interesting game. Not sure what Ronaldinho & co will make of Fratton Park.

We just can't get rid of Steve McClaren. He's back in England again as Twente come to the council house.

With the top 3 in each group going through I'd be disappointed if at at least 2 of the English teams don't get through the group stage.
