It's the same as last year almost ...

Just 5 games remain in the Premier League
and it's anyones guess who will emerge
victorious.

88 points WILL win it for United - but getting
these points is not easy at this stage of the
season.

I hopefully predict the following results over
the remaining fixtures. Draw against Arsenal
followed by an away victory against Blackburn.

With 81 points in the bank, I predict a draw
against Chelsea at the Bridge and a home win
against West Ham which brings us to 85 points.

Throw in three points away to Wigan and the
magic figure of 88 points will ensure the Premier
League trophy remains at Old Trafford.

Over in London Chelsea will finish the season
with 87 points. Given their remarkable home
form, it's hard not to envisage three points at
home to Wigan a week tonight, an away win
at Everton followed by a draw against the
reigning Champions at Stamford Bridge.

That brings up 81 points on the board and
even with two further victories against the
Newcastle and Bolton, it won't be enough to
dampen the party in Manchester.

What do you think the final points tally will be?

88 points will do it but I'm not convinced we'll get there or, if we do, whether it'll be the way you describe Carly.

United have been brilliant at Old Trafford in the league this season. After only dropping points to Reading and City I fully expect us to beat Arsenal and finally get one over West Ham. It's our away form that worries me slightly and, although we should beat Wigan, the games against Blackburn and Chelsea in particular.

Blackburn are a tough team to beat and Chelsea have an incredible home record. If United are at their best we can win all our remaining games but at this stage of the season - squeaky bum time - it's rare that a team is at 100% all the time.

Although I still feel Chelsea could drop points away at Everton and/or Newcastle so 88 points may not be needed.

Anything could happen in the next 33 days!!!

we should be able to win Arsenal at home ground... Perhaps u have to recount again... LOL
Win Arsenal - what the whole club and all the players ...

Or maybe 'beat' Arsenal ... :p

We should be able to beat City home and
away in the league ... West Ham and Bolton
in the league and Southend in the Carling
Cup too but .....

Well you get my meaning I'm sure ... :D ;)

we cannot lose to our title rivals, thats the bottomline.
85 pts would be enough for us to win the title. 2 draws against chelsea and arsenal, and 6 pts from the remaining matches against west ham, wigan and blackburn.
chelsea could well get 11 pts from their remaining 5 matches as a draw against us and probably another slip up against newcastle or everton would do it. we can win by having a better goal difference in this case.

if we can get to 88 pts, we have done very well considering the fixtures we are having, and the possibility of european commitment. blackburn would be fighting for UEFA cup spot, while west ham has beaten us thrice in a row. wigan has the worst pitch in premiership and their home record is very good under bruce. so we are having no easy games in the title run in.

i do agree 88 points might be a little hard. but i think, we can do it. the players just need to give the commitment. we still can beat west ham.

the first of the last three victories west ham managed against us, was cause of the players lack of concentration. 2nd, was after we won the title, and we lost to a tevez free kick. 3rd, again, lack of concentration in the last 10 mins. we allowed ferdinand and upson to score headers from corners against us.

the players just need to keep their concentration.

I'm going to say what I have done a couple of times. I hope that Chelsea draw at Everton or Newcastle then we can win the title at the Bridge, and give them a taste of their own medicine.

I just have a feeling that we won't be beaten at the Bridge.

I think we'll beat Arsenal at home on Sunday, so then it'll turn into a 2 horse race. Chelsea will drop points at some point, most likely at Everton or Newcastle if you discount our game against them.

88 points will guarantee the title, but it may well be less that we get.

MOTD2 predicted the results of the top 3's next 5 games. I can't remember what the other 2's results were, but they predicted our next 3 games to be drawn, and to win the last 2 I think it was.

That would put us on 86, and they predicted us to win it by 1 point over Chelsea who would obviously have 85. Can't remember where Arsenal were mind you.

All I know is that I think we will win the title.

Its a tough one to predict alright. I think we will win the League but
Im not sure when or where. I feel we can beat Arsenal, West ham and Wigan.
I think we will get draws against Blackburn and Chelsea.
I dont really care what happens as long as we get our 17th title and
come within one of those dirty Scousers.

I think we can do it. I am sure we can get on Blackburn, I really do not have a clue about Wigan. Arsenal never beat them and Wigan have the worst pitch like everyone says that's the only thing I am worried about.h
