On-loan Manchester United winger Lee Martin gained a measure of revenge
against Coventry City on Saturday, scoring on his full Plymouth debut to give the
Pilgrims a 1-0 win at Home Park.

'It's always nice for the new boy on the block to get off to a decent start,' said
Argyle boss Ian Holloway.

'I think Lee's proved why we tried to get him - and I'm delighted he joined us.'

Ironically Martin would probably not have been allowed out on loan had it not
been for the Sky Blues' 2-0 win at Old Trafford in the League Cup, a game in
which he was substituted at half-time.

Good one Lee. Always great to see our loanees doing well at other clubs. Getting minutes on the pitch is important and scoring goals is a bonus. Great to get one over on Coventry as well.

I am a big fan of this guy - one day he will be a star for United I predict.

And........

This is why when everyone was saying "Oh it's only the Carling Cup" when Coventry beat us 2-0...........I was really mad about this defeat.

I think it is much better these guys wear United shirts when they play - and they do well in small competition like Carling Cup - maybe even win it !!!

Gives them more desire to be winners always then.

Now because we lose to Coventry they are spread all round the country and get no time to play as a team...............

But hey - It's ONLY the Carling Cup !!!

AC - you're on a negative streak today it seems, hehe.

It's true that playing as a team is better than playing spread out, but playing spread out is better than not playing at all!
