Then we have a poll added to this thread too.......

I want to know which team YOU think is/was/maybe the best......

I take a gamble here......

I predict this team has the most strength in all postions......

Also......

They have more talent as a whole.......

I also think they could go on to win more than one Champs League too....

I don't claim to be good supporter because I dont go to games.....I am good FAN though you know.

I dont ever expect to be part of this "United Family" thing either - I don't have time to go for games week after week.......so for me I will always be outsider type of person understand ?

But to have outside views on subjects like who is best team and sometimes things about The Glazers is good for United fans to listen to !!

Not going to games does not stop you being a good supporter or fan.
Your heart is Red , you Bleed Red, you ARE part of the " United Family " and you will NEVER be an outsider in my eyes.
NO - ONE is a bigger or better Red than the next person based on how often they go/how much they know/how many replica kits they have etc.
Everyone has got opinions are are allowed to put theres across. Makes this forum a better place that we can all share/listen and learn from each others points of view.
We are all Reds and if we can give our knowledge to each other then we'll make this place what it says at the top....." the best in the world ".

98/99 team for me, This is because they wonn the treble and this seasons team have yet to do it ( i think we will) but untill they do they arn't the best... just yet as a squad i think nothing will beat the 98/99 squad but as a starting eleven this seasons team is better (with a few exceptions)

because of the performances we cannot tell until the end of the season..until season the team from the 98/99 season being the inly english team that ever did the treble

And i think who ever thinks this seasons team is crap because they havnt won anything is stupid. Its only the start of the season and i am saying that we have better players and they have gelled together better. At the moment we have a better team then 94 and 99. And lets not forget, 1999 champions league final, eventhough it was Amazing it was 2 goals from 2 corners in the last minute! The team we have now against Munic, we would easily win

Nobody is saying they are crap.....but they can't be considered great.....until they win some trophies....
If they don't win any trophies no matter how many finals they reach or how many times they beat Chelsea or the Scum they will not be mentioned in the same breadth as the 94 or 99 teams......and rightly so....the same goes for Wenger's young guns...
And it is Fergie who has said this time and time again...you are nothing as a team without trophies and football history will forget you.....

It doesn't matter if our present team would beat the 99 team 10-0...ten times in a row, which they wouldn't anyway, the 99 team will always be greater if our present team fail to win any trophies....

i think the 07/08 team can replicate the 98/99 team if they just develop the same qualities that the treble winning side had.

They wont have the same qualities as the 99 team....they are a completely different team with a completely different style of play.....

This is what makes Fergie so great - he not only make many teams but they are all different too........

Most people base their ideas for this thread on "trophies won".......so its surprising to see the 07/08 team so far ahead of the 93/93 team

I doesn't suprise me as i would guess the majority of people who voted for the current team haven't seen much of the 93/94 team.

Hard to compare...

These line-ups are too hard to compare, 'cause times have changed and so has football. Fergie has been able to change Uniteds way of playing through time, which is incredible

I loved the 1998-99 team, but I don't remember that much of that season(because I didn't have satellite/cable and I was too young to go to a pub to see the matches), I only saw the unforgettable UCL-final. But I would have to vote for this seasons team, it's always a joy to watch Uniteds matches, their way of play is so beautiful most of the time!

"All that shimmers is not gold"

The team this year is flashy, full of talent, and are already convincing people (even though the season is so young) that they are and will win it all.

The bottom line is - no one knows. Until the season is over, no one knows what will happen. We might have the best form and skill, but if we choke then that's it.

I think this would've been better to release after the seaon, or at the start of next season, so we would have a more equal compare and contrast.

That being said... I voted the 98/99. "Can Manchester United score... they always score"

13 votes for this team, and 4 for the 93/94....shows ignorance to be honest. In my view(as I've stated) the 98/99 team was the best, then the 93/94...this team we have now has not proved a whole lot...they should be able to become a great team and win a few trophies, but it's way too early to even compare them to the other two. On paper, its great...
