My lad kept phoning me up from the Fulham game, phoned about 20 times
saying how fantastic and loud our support is today.

I could only just hear him over the noise, put him on speakerphone and
the noise was deafening.

The best part was about 10 minutes from the end, "we all live in a Georgie Best world"
started ringng out loud, sounded amazing and continued all the way till the end
of the game, was making the hairs on my neck stand up.

It was great to hear our support singing George's song today.
No doubt i'll get earache when he gets back about our support.

Can't wait to read posts from some of our members who went today
and their views about how it was.

Thoughts on how our support sounded throughout the game ??

Ya , it looked ******* savage, there was one stage there where you could see everyone bouncing up and down to Georgie Best. And everytime, the cameras focused in, you could see everyone singing and dancing. Top notch in all fairness. Best away fans in the land, ashame the home fans couldn't represent us like that....

I thought it was awesome.

The last 15 minues was taken over by "We all live in a Georgie Best world".

It was friggin loud too. At 1 point I thought the Fulham fans were joining in with us (Remember Best played for them aswell) but it was just out fans.

OT but I love the fact that the away fans are bringing banners with them. It makes it brilliant.

I'll definately be applying for all the away games next year.

George Best would have been proud.

yeah, was a top day out. even got to meet the famous jd which was nice, jumping on a table with him outside the pub and having a good chat.
fulham is a bit of a tame atmosphere. their fans don't sing or really have any banter which just means we have to do it all ourselves. was a top atmosphere today, having been to all the fa aways this year has made me realise that their still is a magic about the cup, especially for supporters.
we were all down near the front second half and i got right behind the goal jumping on a seat for all the georgie best stuff. it gets sung a bit from time to time but never has the long, continuous rendition it had today, which was a fitting tribute.

My lad got back about half an hour ago, could hear him coming from
mles away, still singing his head off, 1 trainer on(??), rather the
worse for one or two (dozen) drinks, staggered round the house
dropping everything out his pockets (daughter is now £18.57 richer, he
won't see that again  ), fell into his room and into a coma (still dressed).

I think he had a good day.

No doubt he'll suffer tomorrow and i'll get to hear all his stories.

Just been reading a thread on another forum from
people who went.
Every single post says...

Best away support for years..

Proud to be a RED today....

That is how to support your team...

This post sums it all up for me.

You know, that last 10 minutes gave me goose pimples.

Forget all the ***** we have to tolerate nowadays, the phone-cam wielding tourists that visit OT and the United-hating media that jumps on our every move.

Today was a throwback to what it's all about. Celebrating the life of a true legend that embodied Manchester United and celebrating the football that only Manchester United can produce - full of wonderful attacking play coupled with a few fraught moments.

All together now...

and...

Number 1 was Georgie Best...

Amazing away fans.

I can only imagine how fun it must have been last night.

You could hear it on the telly that the United fans were creating the entire atmosphere.

They even sang Soslkjaer songs :D

I love when all the old songs are brought out. Its a shame Bestie isn't sung about that often, since he's in many people's opinion our best player ever, and probably the best player ever to walk this Earth.

I think the atmospheres of today's games are not as good as what they use to be (with the seating now in place) i go to about 10 games a year through a friend who has spare tickets from time to time and anybody who went to seeing utd back in the 70's/80's/90's will agree, yesterdays match was loud in my living room as i had it on full blast :D i think all the neighbours could it here it as well :whistling:
