It's not Wes Brown himself, but his (deleted) agent.

Fergie barely speaks to the agent.

Apparently, Wes has been offered around the £50-55K mark. However, they (Wes + agent) want to get more or equal to players like O'Shea who are on more per week, yet are determined lesser players in the squad.

I would really hope Wes doesn't leave, but like many people have said, its not just down to him, but his agent as well. Wes has been at United since he was 12 i think, and it would be ashame to loose him because he is a good defender.

I think he has a valid point, why shouldn't he be on the same money as the likes of O'Shea, but nevertheless, I think if Wes were to walk away from OT then he would be a fool

its nowt to do with wanting to be on the same level as john oshea and that. its simply becos the agent wants a bigger cut of wes's wage. bigger wage = bigger cut. if wes leaves becos his agent is a moneygrabbing (C U Next Tuesday) then he we REALLY regret it. he must sign.

He is awsome cover for ou 1st defence. Look at him for the past year while Neville is out! A solid defender and he is also a local lad which is good because you don't wana sepnd millions on a back up player and they will get unhappy like heinze whereas wes understands if he plays good he will make it. I hope that after the liverpool game he will also be considered more for England. I want him to sign and stay for a long time =)

Is Wes incapacitated??? He got the legal age to make his own decisions. Its so easy to blame the agent but the player has his share of responsibility as well. If he wants to stay, sign the contract. The agent only does his job, to suck out the last pound he can possibly get.

he's been playing rather well this season, replacing Gary and even without the likes of Rio or Vidic, he still play with alot of confidence... He may not be a great defender now but will be one in the near future... I think he will prefer to stay in Man Utd... As for the agent, change a new one...

it hit his back !!!! in all truth who would replace brown with neville for the run in ?

gary is available for selection now but i would not change the defence now as its been its most secure than for years .

wes seems to have cut down on the errors which often used to be costly .

gary is a true united legend nobody deserves title mr man utd more but now is not the time for sentiment surely .

it would be folly to let him gain match fitness in run in . what are your thoughts ?

Is this the reason Wes dont sign the contract. He's doomed to be stucked out on the right side and not being an option for the central defence?
I have no good alternatives. Dani Alves or Maicon would be great attacking options from the right fullback but are they good enough defensivly?
Ive seen the german Lahm a few time on TV and I cant say I've been that impressed. Offensivly he's been an impact but its the defence. What a horrible right side with Ronaldo and a weak right fullback to defend. UH! No thanks. But maybe I've just seen Lahms bad defending days.

This is quite new to me, as I was reading figures of his offer being 40k+ a week.

IF it is true that O'Shea is getting more, than I think Brown has a right to ask for parity, but may I ask what the reported figures of John O'Shea's contract are?

IF its true that o shea is making more money than him then he does have every right to ask for parity or more because he simply is the better defender. As for the negative comments about Brown, i find them sad. He has had a brilliant year. He is soo strong and decent going forward, his feet have got much better this season. Our defence has never been better yet people want him to leave? he is 25% of that defence, very good player. Has to stay and fergie knows this because he has played him more than anyone else this season and has always spoke great of his ability.
