I think the world has gone mad. First some idiot thinks we should sell Oshea, and now Fletcher, who next, Carrick, Park. I am one who has been praising Fletch and as some people were saying "Fletchers zone of TERROR!!!!!! But i hope he will spend many more years with the club, staying loyal to the club and fans.

Did you not watch, Roma or AC Milan, fletcher was the only player to perform in both games !! Fletcher is one of the most underated player in the prem, he would walk into any side outside the top 4, but he still has a lot to offer us, i agree and hope he stays for years to come !!!

Huge Fletch fan from Scotland ere, disrespect him at your peril as you will be eating your words and your soiled shorts if i find out where you live. He's the future captain to be im sure of it, having been at old trafford since he was 16, he pretty much has the heart of a devil just like Keano, priceless i think you'll agree! Don't forget he's young and learnin just the same as Ronaldo, and im assumin you saw Ronaldo's pretty lame ass flick at the start of the Milan away leg, for that alone i think Fletch can be let off with more than a few more mistakes. Centre midfield is the hardest position to play and they way i see it is he's a perfectionist, on his way to becoming one of the greatest all round players the games ever seen, decoesc but taller. He's been working hard at his defensive game, getting his priorities right like the true professional he is, now i think he can start to improve on his already adequate attacking prowess which is in fact his natural, and already instilled game, and who better to learn from than Scholes. Ive a couple of old friends from Edinburgh (Fletch's home town) who in their teenage years played with and against Fletch in the leagues and they said he was by far the best player on the pitch, in a league of his own they said. I dont mean to get excited but what could be better than two exceptionally technically gifted sworn enemies working the middle of the park together and tearing the opposition limb from limb. A defensive Anglo-sax (Carrick) and an attacking Celt (Fletch) driving each other through hate to new heights in personal development whilst dragging the team through season after season of champions league triumph and league championship domination. What more do i need to say, "GO ON YOURSELF FLETCH"

maybe he could benefit from a less physical league on loan, give him the time to bulk up and work on other areas of his game, not a ridiculous idea, was sayin to a mate the other day i could see fletch walk into a mid table italian side, whether theyd have him or not is a completley different question.

He's the kind of squad player we have that Chelsea don't. They don't have versatile, determined young players that aren't ''pre-Madonna'' foreign players that litter their game with dives and an aura of arrogance.

Darren Fletcher, John O'Shea and Alan Smith optimize United- determined, hardworking, get the job done. The likes of Kalou, Robben and Mikel will never understand...

I agree with you there Jay. Fletcher, Smith and o'Shea are great professionals and are very good players also. Any time they come in to the team they always give it their all and do a great job. I've been particularily impressed with Fletcher when he comes into the 4-5-1 formation. As Mullets pointed out ,against Milan and Roma he was outstanding. Man of the match each time or close to it. I hope he stays with United for many years to come. To be challenging on all fronts with the amount of games there are, we need people like him in our squad. I worry for him slightly because with Hargreaves coming in and the other midfielders we have he will find it hard to play regular football. He is the ideal squad player.

Thi season has been his best by far but is it still good enough to be a starting or even bench player for united.

I dont think he is a starting line up and I really do find him frustrating as yes he has the odd good game but that is it really and we need die hard consistency.

I think SAF should look to loan him out or sell him tbh - the odd cameo is not enough I dont think.

I'd go along with that Dec. Richardson is the only United player I don't like or don't rate one bit. I have no idea why he is at United and even less of a clue why he has been picked for England squads. He is terrible and I hope we get rid of him. He has made 80 MU appearences for some unknown reason.
