Got to be tevez, he has done way better than wat we would have expected of him, come in to the squad, gel with the squad, work with the squad, and u got to admire him more of the fact that he cant speak much english. so really, an incredible job so far

by looking at the facts, the most disappointing player got to go to saha or neville, just because of their injury setbacks. but in my opinion, i have to say rooney, maybe because i have much higher expectations for him. he can be considered unfortunate, he got a freak injury just when he was getting into form. come only to mid season, he already had three different injuries, first metatarsal injury, then a freak injury, and a virus later. wish that he will not have anymore injury, our push for glories depends a lot on him. i really thought this season could be rooney's, but for now, lets forget about the first half of the season and concentrate on the coming vital four months

Impressed - Anderson. I didn't know too much about this kid apart from the glowing reports he'd had while playing in Brazil and for Porto. I certainly didn't expect too much of him in his 1st season at the club but he's now a vital member of the squad. His display against Liverpool where he bossed Gerrard and Mascherano was top drawer. If he adds goals to his game he'll rival Fabregas for best young central midfielder in the Prem in the not too distant future.

Disappointed - Saha. The injuries are very frustrating and have clearly had an effect on his form. When he has played he's blown hot and cold. He's still managed to score a few goals for us but a striker of his quality should be pushing for a regular starting place.

Impressed: Rio Ferdinand: Has gone from a little bit of an inside joke to arguably the BEST centre half in the world now, we've conceded what 11 goals in the league????? him and Vidic have been INCREDILE!

I'll have to add Anderson as he's really shown how bright a future he has in front of him and has taken to the premier league like a duck to water!!

Cristiano Ronaldo 26 games 25 goals... he's the best player in the world there's no doubt now!!

Dissapointed: Carrick Looked a capable player last year and i think he played more games than any other outfield player last year... this year however he hasnt performed and has proved he lacks form when he's out of the team, he played well in our last two games but he's simply not up to it!!

Also Nani highly dissapointed with him, doesnt seem to be up to what is expected of him at all, not going to judge him quite yet but I'm not very hopefull!

I think thats a little harsh on wayne!! He'll still get us 20 goals as well as 15 or so assists, he'll get back in form in no time and be firing for the run in to the Champions League final!!

... player has impressed you the most so far this season ... ?

Which ...

... player has disappointed you most this season so far ... ?

Not just names ...

Tell us why ... ?
1. Tevez - i knew his was a fighter and all, but now when I have the chance of seeing him week in week out I can only say - he's a ****ing genius. His contribution can't be measured with goals and assists. The number of stolen balls or the amount of pressure he imposes on defenders which causes them to give possesion away ( which eventually leads to us scoring goals ) is unmeasurable. And when I take into account that he's only on 70-80 % of his abilites ,I'll go that far to say what my friend told me when we signed him - "He is better example of Wayne Rooney" .

2. Carrick - i think that words are irrelevant on this one. Just look at the number of chances SAF has given him, and how he's used them and you know what I'm talking about. For "18 mil. pounder" - a flop

that's why the title is which player has impressed you "SO FAR":p .because - he hasn't been on his level so far....and let me add something on rio+vida partnership - they are making each other better. one's main strenght is in that other;) - you can see it in how consistent they are. rio was a great player even before -true - but this consistent he has never been imo

There are a few who have impressed me this season. Obviously Ronny but it's what we come to expect from him now so I'm not surprised with how he is playing. Tevez has done really well but we all knew he was a brilliant player with Premiership experience anyway. Anderson has done amazingly well, he was meant to be a squad player, just coming on when we had games already won so he could gradually increase his pitch time, but now he's arguably the 1st midfielder on the teamsheet (when Scholes was out anyway). Last but my no means least is a player I'm surprised nobody has mentioned, Patrice Evra. Both his attacking and defending have been brilliant this season and he adds another dimension to our attacks. Can't wait 'til we get Nev back as well cos our attacking options from full back positions will improve massively.

Disappointed? Carrick was great last season but he's shown this season that he can't cope with the pressure of having to fight for his place in the team. Saha for obvious reasons is a massive let down but then again, he has been for years so there's no surprise there. Giggs has been poor this season and although he's a United legend (and rightly so) I think he shouldn't be playing as often as he is and the likes of Nani and Park should be given more of a chance. Nani started the season well with a goal and about 5 assists but then as soon as Giggs was fit Nani assumed bench warming duties again.

Overall I'm very pleased with the way our team is playing, especially after the awful start we had to the season, and with the youth we have coming through in Nani, Anderson and the twins from Fluminense, the future is bright at Old Trafford. And let's not forget the last time we only took 1 point from our opening 3 games was 1992 and we went on to win the title :)

I think Giggs has played well for most of the season, not at his best obviously, but I am also suprised Nani has not been given more games.

The problem may be that, in the absence of Neville, Giggs is our captain and, as such, almost becomes undroppable.

He's played well in some games but then in other games he goes missing or gives the ball away every time he gets it. I guess what I'm saying is he hasn't been consistent

I think you may have a point there.

Impressive- Yep also Anderson. I expected Nani to be the bigger signing the way the media were going on but Anderson has been one of the best performers this season. Also of course Ronaldo and our entire defence for the obvious reason of goals and clean sheets.

RAAABIIISHHHHH- begins with f ends with r never has and never will possess the quality to play for united.

Impressed- VERY impressed with Anderson. I dont think anybody expected him to fit in so quickly, especially this season. His defensive qualities are amazing and he can only get better and better. Frightening potential.

Tevez-has been a revelation. We all knew he was good but to adapt to the team so quickly after having played in the Copa is a testamant to the man.
His heart, desire and undoubted skill have seen him become a firm favourite at OT already.

Rio, Ronaldo, Vidic and Evra have all played remarkably well but this is not surprising to me. They are carrying on from last season so I have already been impressed by them.

Disappointed with Saha- Just seems to be injured a lot. I have faith in this guy and always back him when most dont, but I just keep on waiting. Im sure he will come good but I have been disappointed so far.

Nani started brightly but this guy shocks me sometimes with his poor play. he needs a chance to settle i guess but he has been pretty poor this season with his decision making.

Rooney-I expect a lot more to be honest. I know he was injured at the start but already this season he has been very poor in at least a half dozen games, which is too many. He has the heart of a lion which is commendable but how many poor shots, passes and decisions has he made. Answer= A LOT.
Im sure he will start banging them in soon but Im slightly worried in the mean time. Even last season I thought he was off the boil, despite his great goal/assist tally.

carrick- He has played too many bad games but he seems to have turned the corner with some great displays recently. Lets hope he continues that way.

Hot - Vidic. When we were lacking goals, he made sure the other teams didn't get any. We have, arguably, the best defense in Europe, and Vidic is a lot of the reason why.

Hot - Anderson. I believe Ferguson originally intended for Anderson to be slowly introduced into England like Nani, but Scholes' injury changed that. While he didn't look to good in his first few games, just look at him against Arsenal and Liverpool.

Beyond the obvious - Ronaldo.

Flop - Saha. He is great when he's fit, but those darned injuries are so frustrating.

Other mentions: Hargreaves, when fit, has shown what he can do with Anderson in the middle. Quite impressive. Also, Tevez, works like mad, and when Roovez works, it works well.

Then there's Carrick, who has been okay, but not great. And Rooney, which is more of an injury plagued season rather than a lack of goals.

the first question has two answers in my opinion...for me...there are 2 players...who played very very well ....and everybody must agree that Carlitos and Ronaldo have both played briliant football....Carlos has made a real impact since he came...and we're all glad that he did it. Ronaldo...well...NO COMMENT...the injustice made bye the ones who give the best player of the world awads....who have called Ricardo Kaka....the best...now recognised by many players and coaches....ROnaldo has show a hundread times that he's the best ...and not only for the moment...but for a long time to go....i hope he keeps up he's excellent work....and i realy hope...he will remain here for a very very long time....i realy hate it when...teams like Real Madrid ...Barcelona..or Ac Milan..get our top players....well...especially Real Madrid...Beckham...Ruud..and others....
For the second one...i realy have to think a lot....we had a bad start..but then all our players..have played..well..not at the full capacity....we can't say somebody has been dissapoiting.....we can't throw rocks in those who have.....but we don't have reasons...realy.....Manchester United is a true family...and the results are showing it clearly.....the team is the best...because they realy are true TEAM

I am going to against the grain here . The player I have been most impressed with has been Rooney- I still think he is THE talisman of the team. All 4 losses we have suffered in all competitions this season have occurred when he wasnt playing. This shows how valuable he is to the team. Ronaldo may have grabbed all the headlines with his goals but Rooney has been the fulcrum of the side and but for injuries would have as many goals as Ronaldo

I have been most disappointed with Giggs who has had a shocking season in my view. Park is a better prospect on the wing provided he remains injury free. It seems although I hope its premature talk that old father time has finally caught up with the Welsh wizard

Rooney is very important to the team, that`s for sure.. he`s one of the best forwards in the world. but Ronaldo is playing one of his best seasons.. he`s doing almost everything.. creating chances and scoring goals in every-way.. headers, from outside and inside the box.. even his free-kicks improved very well. (IMO) Ronaldo now is the most important player in the squad beside Ferdinand ;)
