I definitely think Derby have to be hot favourites to go down. Birmingham have spent well and strengthened but will need luck. Wigan have bought poorly in my opinion, too many cast-offs from other teams, signing Titus Bramble screams "Danger" in my book. Reading are facing into that difficult second season but should be safe enough, they have plenty of quality, despite having not strengthened much. Man City are a very weak squad right now, I wouldnt be surprised to see them struggle. Boro are dependent on their new strikers, if they dont work out it could be a tough season for them. Fulham are also in the mix.
As for Sunderland, I think Keane will keep them up, a lot of the teams that struggled last year got into trouble because players were not motivated or trying hard enough, ie. Fulham/West Ham etc. I cant see that happening there. They are lacking in quality to make the push out of the bottom half but a strong first season should allow them to approach the kind of players they need more successfully in the future. Chopra has a better scoring record than Nugent at that level, he never got a chance at Newcastle and I think he could do ok there, nonetheless they are a few signings short of a finished squad.
My selection to go down: Derby, Wigan and Man City
