I would say Scotland, but since their not in it :)p) I gotta say Holland.

I always have a soft spot for them. Their football is great and I hope they win it.

They also have nice strips ;).
Thank u very much :D
I hope we arrange a friendly against scotland after euro 2008. The dutch and scottisch supporters go along very very well :D

I won't go for Spain due to their chokey performances in big tournaments, despite possessing an unbelievable team.

I'm gonna support a bit of an underdog in Holland.

hopefully Huntelaar will show us what he's made of, though I fear his price tag will go up to £20m+ if he has a good tourny, and chelsea will probably come in and steal him lol.

IMO Holland and Portugal could turn out really poor. Especially Holland, because there defence is awful and they conceded 3 to Austria (yes the worst team around) a couple of months back. Portugal also don't have a good striker and hardly ever have had! There wing is the best - Ronaldo/Nani/Quaresma/Simao but there strike force is terrible - Nuno Gomes and Pauleta and people they just can't hack it!

So I think it could be Germany or maybe France Italy Spain.

I worked it out to be something like a Germany Vs Spain final i think. Im going to root for Germany - Lahm and Schweinsteiger ;)

Portugal - I have a bet on them.
I have a fiver on Portugal at 7/1
fiver on Spain at 6/1
10euro on France at 9/1

So I should win something I reckon...... :)

Another bet I have is Ronnie to finish top scorer 11/1
and Henry at 16/1.

Oh yeah but I want France to win. Allez les Bleus!!!

I'll go for Portugal regardless Ronaldo's leaving. Look at the progress they've made in Euros: quarter finals in 96, semis in 2000, runner-up in 2004. So what must it be in 2008?
They don't have so many top players, but they got the top manager, say Scolari. He led Portugal to the semi in World Cup 2006, and the side is obviously much stronger now.

GERMANY!!! :D I think they definitely have the players. Ballack is a world class attacking CENTRAL mid.

Nobody else has a world class player in that position. Modric is too young. Iniesta isn't a goalscorer and can't dominate although I'm a huge fan.

Xavi can score but can also go missing. A tad overrated in my opinion. Schneider is young and not quite as good as they say.

Pirlo is world class but doesn't physically dominate matches as he is not the strongest. He also sits too deep to score from open play.

De Rossi is very good but not world class by any means and not a dominater.

Van De Vaart I'll have to see but he's not world class yet. Wait and see.

Deco is very good but he's recently recovered and has had an underwhelming season by his standards. Ditto Maniche.

In fact that's about all of the big name attacking center mids, isn't it? Ballack must be lonely, his kind are a dying breed.

I would cry except, for reasons unknown, I have conjuctivitis and I don't want to wash out my eyedrops. :p
