The top five in my opinion is going to be pretty obvious. So whos going to finish 6th is probably one the most interesting questions regarding end league table predictions...

I'd probably put Newcastle, Bolton, West Ham and Everton as the favourites to grab the spot. Although its hard to rule out clubs like Villa and Portsmouth or Reading.

The compeition for 6th is immense!

I think Newcastle will grab it some how but it will be very close, who do you think?

Most people seem to ignore one club in praticular. The most improved club in the past few years. Blackburn are a force to be reckon with. Top class Keeper, A strong defense, a midfield that offers everything and a powerful strikeforce. Everyone is talking about Berbatovs season and seems to forget what McCarthy has done last season. Blackburn would be my pick. The only thing they lack is depth in quality. As long as they keep they're two centre backs fit they'll be in with a shout.

good post and pretty much spot on apart from one club....Bolton IMO won't even finish in the top half...just wait and see......

Also if people want to show other members who has the best footy brain in terms of where clubs are gonna finish then see my post ' Prem league game' in football banter, it's a game where you have to predict where all 20 teams will finish. It's all explained in the thread so if you think you can predict the forthcoming season better than anyone else then this is your chance to prove it, I've had a couple of entries already but the more we get the better it is and greater the competition, so look it up and enter, it's free and a good bit of fun.....

Same, i think they'll be a massive flop this season. Don't think their new manager is up to it.
Bolton are a very good team who have lost their manager and a classy defender. Yes their team may be getting older but they still have some top players and many under rated players, like Nolan, Davis, Hunt (three English players mind you) and their keepers!

Its possible they'll struggle but with the group of players at Bolton i wouldn't write them off really. Give their manager a chance!

Every time anyone mentions City these days I can see the image of that female chav stood in the crowd, tears streaming down her face, screaming 'You're not fit, you're not fit, you're not fit to wear the shirt!'

LMAO :) They may turn things around this season - let's face it, they couldn't get much worse (0 goals at the COM in 2007!) but for comedy value I hope they'll be bottom 6 rather than top 6!

In terms of who will finish 6th, my tip is Everton. But I wouldn't pay any attention to me because at the start of last season I tipped West Ham to finish 6th! Lol!
