BAROS FACES BAN AFTER SPEED RECORD
Lyon striker Milan Baros is facing a lengthy driving ban and a heavy fine after being caught speeding at a record-breaking 271kph (168mph) on Thursday, according to media reports.
The Czech Republic international was driving his black Ferrari on the A42 near Lyon when he was clocked by French police, according to local newspaper Le Progres.
Police are quoted as telling the paper: "Sadly, it is quite simply the record speed (clocked) in Ain."
The previous local record, according to the paper, belonged to a motorcyclist who was caught riding at 248kph on the A40 in 2000.
Baros risks losing his licence for three years.
I love how Baros said he wanted the passenger to listen to the engine.
