According to various ridiculous rumours Thierry Henry is unhappy at Barcelona.
And the reason for his unhappiness? Being substituted during Barcelona's home
defeat by Villareal at the weekend. Big deal.
Not many players enjoy being taken off - except those with injuries - but suddenly
this has been blown into a "Premier League on alert for return of Henry" type
tale.
Which set me thinking - despite the fact the story is complete rubbish, if Henry did
decide he'd had enough in Spain, would he ever consider playing for United?
Surely Arsenal would be his first choice - but consider how well they are doing
without him and you have to wonder whether they would have him back.
Look at David Beckham - if he ever decided to play in the Premier League there
would be a host of top clubs queuing for him, with United well and truly at the
back.
United still need a new striker.
We know the "rumour" story is rubbish but if Henry did come on the market could
he be the answer for United?
Then again - who could have forecast Henrik Larsson turning up at United ...
