If you had one away game you would want more than anyone else at this point in time what would it be. Could be anyone anywhere. could be dippers away or down Gigg Lane for an FC United vs United derby or even your local team wherever your from?

Mine would have to be Leeds away. Even tho they aint even half the team they once was i never had the chance to go down to elland road and now i got my season ticket i pray for them in the cup at any chance possible. Hate Leeds and their fans so much, would love to give it to them and can imagine the atmosphere used to be top down at elland road when we was in town.

Pretty much any United game for me would be an away day ;)

But I'd probably like to go the Camp Nou to see a Barça-United game. nearly 100.000 people filling the stadium is pretty much lengendary.

Neither, wouldn't go, wouldn't want either to win. Simple as that.
FCUM fans get that question hundreds of times, just about every one answers the same
as i have.

Again Leeds would have to be up there for me. When they got relegated from the Premiership I was only 14 so I would have probably been too young to go but I'd love to get them away in the FA Cup or something next season. The scramble for tickets would be unbelieveable but if you managed to get one it would be a day to remember thats for sure.

Even though games like Chelsea and Liverpool in particular are on the face of it top aways, from what I've heard they're not up there with the best of the season. With Liverpool especially you just have to keep your mouth shut until you get into the ground if you want to make it in safely. A lot of JCL's seem to come out of the woodworks for these games as well. When they show the away end when we're at say Stamford Bridge, surely I'm not the only one looking at the TV screen thinking 'how the **** did HE get a ticket?!?!?'

Two top aways for me are always Blackburn and Villa. Villa Park is like our second home, and we always seem to generate a good atmosphere there. This seasons 5.30pm kick off at Villa lead to a classic away day at Villa Park. The Cap n Gown is always a good laugh pre match as well, even if you do have to pay to get in there  :p Likewise at Blackburn the Fernhurst usually generates a good atmosphere pre-match which is carried into the ground. The beasty allocation as well ensures that we'll have a top time :D

In terms of Euro Aways I've always had my heart set on going to Real Madrid away. I don't know why but going to the Bernebau to see United play would just be one of the ultimate experiances for me. Hopefully this dream will become a reality next year when the Final is held there.

FA Cup Aways this season have taken me by suprise as well with how good they have been. An inflated allocation combined with other things like the 70's style banners at Derby have really made them days to remember. I just hope the semi, and if we get there the Final, are as enjoyable days out.

My ideal away:

Wake up nice and early
Have a cooked breakfast at home
Meet the lads and hop on the train
A few cans and a chat on the way down
Get off the train at the other end and have a sing walking to the boozer
Get in the boozer, have a few more drinks and meet up with other reds
Pub gets bouncing and songs get going. Followed by a table dancing sesion :D
Police escort down into the ground
An exciting first half in which United go behind but pull it back to 1-1 on the stroke of half time
Concourse party at half time
Exciting second half that could swing either way
10 mins to go opposition get a penalty, VDS (or whoever is playing in goal) pulls off a wonder save
Just after the board for stoppage time has gone up, Darren Fletcher rifels in a 30 yard screamer to win the match, which sparks mental celebrations which leaves you on the floor about 4 rows ahead of where you were just stood
Coming out of the ground with head held high singing the song that has caught your attention that day. Learn that Liverpool have lost and Rafa has finally been taken into a mental home, City have slipped another place down the league after being beaten 1-0 at home to Hull with a Dean Windass goal and Leeds go into administration...again!
Hop back on the train home and have a bit more of a sing
Get back home and crash out on the sofa with a take away
Stick on match of the day and relive the days on-pitch events
Crawl into bed, hang the scalf back up safely for the next game
Crash out dead to the world for a good 12 hours before waking up the next day and discussing the days events with the lads

Magic stuff

this is quality. i got a buzz from reading it :specool:

mine would have to be a euro away i'd say. a nice big city, and an early flight in on the day of the game with the united boys getting in early afternoon. head straight for the city centre where thousands of reds have taken over the main square. beer in the sun, and nice singsong all afternoon, before a nice escort to the ground. united are under pressure in the first half and fall behind on the stroke of half time to a sloppy goal. we come out for the second half transformed, and grab an early goal, a rifler from 25 yards, and anderson's first goal followed by a samba dance :p absorb some more pressure from the home team before vidic comesup for a corner, and heads a thunderbolt in from the 18 yard line to win it in stoppage time. singing all the way back to the main square and enjoying ourselves until the wee hours and then up with a nice breakfast at the hotel and a cab to the airport. get chatting to a few reds on the plane home and get back and collapse on the sofa.

then watch a couple of reruns

I think if the away I described was on the Saturday and this was on the following Wednesday, you could call it one of the best weeks following United ever

You going to Fulham tomorrow mate? The return to 8 Bells :D

You do not want leeds away i had the misfortune to go twice and both times it kicked off , we had to fight to get on our coach not very pleasant , they are savages and hate us nearly as much as the scousers.
The ground i get the biggest buzz is anfailed , its different level and gives a tingle down my spine.
I would love to go to real madrid away and see united win of course
